Time Lapse of Our Large Family Homeschool Morning

Ever want to be a fly on the wall for a day of homeschooling in a large family? Well, it is your lucky day! The below attached video is a time lapse of our morning homeschool for our growing family of 9 (almost 10) with children aged 13, 10, 9, 7, 5, 3, 1, and I am due with #8 in August.  I hope you enjoy!

  1. Hi, I just found your videos and have a question. We love doing memorization too. We just learned all 50 states by singing a song together each morning. I was thinking of learning the presidents next, but I haven’t found a song or anything yet to use. How did you learn the presidents? I know you said you learned 8 at a time, but did you use a song or something to help learn them? Thanks!

    • Nope… I am the least musical person I know and the kids (older ones) loathe singy song type memorization (just how they are) so we memorized by repeating and together, individually, around the world style and also in different tones (high, low, whisper, yell, scream, etc)

  2. I have been enjoying watching some of your videos and I have been so inspired by your amazing family.
There are 6 in our family but I’m seriously thinking about growing it again . We also homeschool and one of my fears is that with more kids I would not be able to homeschool effectively. Could you make a more detail video on how you homeschool, what curriculum you use and what do you do to help your kids be more independent. Thanks so much for inspiring families to be what God has intended for families to be!
